Meet our Director, Beverly Dale
Director BEVERLY DALE has music in her blood. Whether at a family gathering or in a group like-minded women who love to sing, Beverly's enthusiasm is contagious.
Beverly has been directing award-winning choruses since 1970. At the urging of friends, she returned to this role after a 10-year leave of absence and chose Asheboro, NC, as her new home base.
The process of building a new Sweet Adeline chapter takes commitment and stamina. Undaunted by the task, she held an organizational tea early in September 2010 and drew the immediate support of the 20 new and experienced singers who attended. Members ranging in age from a 23-year-old UNCG student to a senior who is 80+ years young come from as far away as Fayetteville, Greensboro, Southern Pines, Winston Salem and Booneville to Asheboro each week to sing under Beverly's superb direction. They know that when you "Sing a song to your neighbor, she'll start singing along.." you make a joyful noise. And when Beverly Dale is directing, the harmony raises the roof!
The ZOOpendous Show Chorus meets at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Rd., Asheboro, NC, If you would like to visit, give Beverly a call to verify: 336-769-4243. You'll even get a couple of FREE voice lessons from a master teacher!
